We all reach moments in life when we need to pause, take an honest look in the mirror, and let God do what only He can do: redeem, restore, and renew us.
My name is Benjamin Bishop. I grew up in a pastor’s home and have spent most of my life serving in ministry. But just like you, my journey hasn’t always been neat and tidy — I’ve weathered storms, faced struggles with identity, felt the weight of spiritual emptiness, and learned what it means to fully rely on God’s grace.
Over the years, I’ve worked with people in recovery, families in crisis, and churches navigating tough seasons. I’ve seen firsthand what happens when we give each other space and support to reflect on where we are, recover what’s been lost, and find redemption in Jesus Christ.
That’s the heartbeat behind 45 Degree Ministries.
Why “45 Degree”?
The name is simple but powerful. Sometimes real hope begins with an honest shift in the way we see things from the inside out. Instead of searching for answers in what the world offers, a 45-degree turn of the heart and mind toward what God wants to reveal can change everything.
As John Piper describes it, our lives are meant to be like mirrors — not just reflecting God’s glory back to Him, but angled so His glory is reflected outward to the world. When our hearts are tilted toward Him, others see His redemption and restoration through us. That’s what 45 Degree Ministries is all about: helping you shift your perspective, reflect His light, and share hope wherever you are.
It’s about reflecting others to God and God to others. It’s about helping people see themselves, and each other, through the lens of grace, honesty, and healing.
Our Mission
Through 45 Degree Ministries, I want to help people move from probation to purpose — whether you’re stuck in addiction, wrestling with family conflicts, or simply trying to find your place in a noisy world. Here, you’ll find biblical truth, practical tools for communication, and stories that remind you: you are not alone and there is always hope.
If you’re reading this, I want you to know something — your story isn’t over. There is redemption for you. Restoration is possible. And sometimes, all it takes is a small turn, a new reflection, and a fresh look at what God can do.
Thank you for being here. I hope you’ll stick around, share these reflections with someone who needs them, and if you ever want prayer or a listening ear, please reach out — I’d love to connect with you.
